When I first visited the Gorillas 15 years ago, it lit a lifelong spark in me to showcase the wonderful sub-Saharan continent in unique ways that créate trustworthy, meaningful, emotional, and uplifting experiences with a personalized attention to detail that makes our guests feel Heard, understood, and pleasantly surprised.

Michael Savage
Founder, African Unique Safaris and Tours
Thirteen years ago, I left Sydney, Australia, for a gorilla trek in Rwanda — chasing adventure beyond the usual beach holiday. What I found instead was a country and a continent that captured my heart. I gave up my corporate career, moved to Kigali, and never looked back. Rwanda remains one of the most inspiring nations on earth, and it's been the foundation of everything since.
Today, African Unique Safaris and Tours is one of Rwanda's most respected and modern DMCs, with over 500 direct supplier relationships across sub-Saharan Africa. That means we can plan and book your entire journey — anywhere on the continent — with the local expertise, convenience, and trust you deserve.
But it's bigger than travel. Every journey with us supports conservation and community development, driving toward our vision: 1,000 new financially independent families by 2035.

Kevine Nyampinga
Dream Travel Planner
Kevine has spent her career helping people fall in love with Rwanda and East Africa. With a background rooted in cultural tourism — including her time as a Cultural Tourism Officer at the Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy — she brings more than logistics to her work; she brings a genuine passion for sharing the region's heritage and hidden gems with travelers from around the world.
Holding a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and years of experience as a Tour Consultant, Kevine now channels that expertise into designing tour packages that feel personal and effortless. From the first quote to the final briefing with your guide, she handles every detail — accommodations, activities, and logistics — so you can focus on the excitement of the journey ahead.
Whether you're a travel agent building itineraries for clients or planning your own dream trip, Kevine is the person making sure it all comes together seamlessly.
Christella Ishimwe
Compliance and Finance Assistant
Since January 2025, Christella has been the trusted hand behind financial compliance and loss prevention at African Unique Safaris and Tours, while also supporting the reservations team to keep every client's booking experience smooth and reliable.
She holds an A1 in Accounting and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance at the Adventist University of Central Africa, bringing prior experience as a bookkeeper and secretary to her work.
Her dedication to accuracy and accountability helps safeguard the company and gives clients confidence in every journey they book with us.
Jean Marie Habineza
Financial Controller
Jean Marie Vianney Habineza has served as African Unique Safaris and Tours' company accountant for four years, bringing precision and integrity to every number that passes through the business. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and over 15 years of professional experience.
Beyond managing the company's financials and ensuring full compliance with Rwanda's tax obligations, Jean Marie provides leadership and mentorship to Christella, helping build a finance function defined by accuracy, accountability, and trust.
His steady hand behind the scenes is part of what allows African Unique Safaris and Tours to operate with the transparency and reliability our partners and guests depend on.

Our lead guides are the heart of every safari experience. With years of field expertise, exceptional wildlife knowledge, and a genuine passion for sharing Africa's natural wonders, they do more than guide your journey. They bring every destination to life through captivating stories, local insights, and unforgettable encounters that transform a great trip into a once in a lifetime adventure.
As a licensed tour guide in Rwanda, certified by the Tourism Chamber, in collaboration with the Rwanda Development Board, I bring a wealth of knowledge about our rich local culture, history, wildlife, and attractions. My clear communication skills in multiple languages ensure you feel welcomed and informed. I pride myself on being professional, reliable, and culturally sensitive, with a strong focus on customer service. I'm adept at crafting engaging, well-informed narratives that enrich understanding during geopark visits. At the end, languages, impeccable itineraries, committed flexibility, an enjoyable and responsible travel experience. My name is Enfijoh continues to Love! and that is how I intend to showcase my country, with love.

My journey began as the operations manager for international companies.
